Hey guys.
Sorry, it's been a while. I know if you are here, you are probably here because of those MIDI files, am I right?
Yeah, so, feel free to ignore this blog stuff. Most of it is pretty old, and I'm both too lazy and too busy when I'm not feeling lazy to update it.
It's sad.
Ugh.
Enjoy those MIDI files =D

LOST 02/06/2010

Wow. Did you all see LOST last Tuesday night? I saw all three hours. It was crazy.
I had known that the black smoke was Locke from last season, who was also probably every random appearance of every person who really shouldn't be where they are, like Christian. However, I did not realize I had missed one major part of this. Back in last season, I missed that Christian told Sun and the pilot guy to wait for Locke (I saw this in the first hour, the recap one). This was something people should not have missed. After I realized the fact last season, I remembered that time Ben's daughter appeared to him and told him he needed to do everything Locke told him to. Suddenly, Locke wants him to kill Jacob. That's where it all made sense for a little while. The black smoke is also the older, gray haired guy from the season finale of season 5, in the beginning. It just felt awesome to have it verified by "Locke" saying "I'm sorry you had to see me like that."
My theories on the whole thing about the bomb and two story lines from it, the airplane, and the blew into the future one: Either both stories coexist as truth, or the one is just explaining the depth of "Locke's" words that nobody realized how pitiful their lives were that they were trying to get back to (except for Locke). Let me clarify both points. So, Daniel said that time is like a string, didn't he? What if it were a string of yarn? Yarn has tons of different little threads that make it up. So, the airplane story could just be another thread, and the island one is another thread. These threads make up the string of time, metaphorically speaking. Perhaps, then, some God of LOST weaves the picture that becomes reality using the string of time, again metaphorically speaking. The other one is not so complex. Perhaps the producers of the show just wanted us to see what it was like if nothing had happened.
By the way, did you all notice the fragment the large guy picked up off of the ground after he shot Locke? Was that like... Was that a bent bullet? Can anyone tell? Also, what do you think will happen next?

Java! 01/16/2010

Sorry about the lack of recent blog posts. I've been a little bit busy with a few things.
For one thing, I've been writing some Java programs.
I currently am writing a program that factors equations when it is of degree 3. I'm using rational roots to do it, but I keep having a problem somewhere. It's annoying. Every time I input an equation, all it returns are zeroes. I'm getting the feeling that the problem is somewhere in my method that checks if a number is already in an array because I wrote two (and neither works) methods checking to see if the input will even work in the equation.
Although...
Perhaps neither is the problem. The other feeling I have is that I made a careless error somewhere in the main method. I may have gotten the wrong array of factors somewhere, I may have used the wrong variables/arrays in the wrong places...
Debugging programs isn't fun at all.
By the way, depending on your knowledge of math and/or Java, you may not have understood this. It is sort of complex so don't feel left out if you don't.
Any ideas on the problem, anyone? I'll give it one last shot myself and see if it works or doesn't.

The music I like 01/09/2010

I think we can all agree that music has an influence, great or small, on who we are. So, this blog post will be about what music I like and, moreover, why.
I like most of Alternative Rock. It's really my favorite genre of music. I am absolutely insane about four bands: Snow Patrol, Lifehouse, Coldplay, and The Fray. I like almost all of their songs. I also am somewhat a fan of Country, Classical, among other things.
Now for the important question: why?
I love these bands and genres for a few reasons. One: I prefer clean music. I don't like rap because more often than not, it has been filled to the brim with violence and profanities. It just sort of bothers me. It bothers the people I like to hang around with. That's why I also like the radio, because the make sure the songs are clean on most stations. Two: I love the way the music is formed throughout most of those genres. It has the emotional highs and lows and in the end it sounds great. Not all songs are like that, but if you go looking through heavy metal and rap... Heavy metal is always far too loud and it always seems a monotone what with the overplayed percussion. I mean, you can hear the guitars in the BACKGROUND. The drums somehow become the melody, and I feel that's not melodious. Rap is always sort of  a low voice, sometimes played over some sort of electronica kind of track that doesn't sound too bad, but it too has found a bad monotone to settle into. Don't get me wrong, neither loud nor deep nor quiet are "bad", but it's boring. It's like taking a class with a teacher that has no voice infliction, that never has any emotion at all.
That is why I love the music I love. Feel free to comment with thoughts of your own.

Hm. Creating this blog isn't hard! That's pretty dang convenient.
It even archives it automatically, and offers categories! Although... categories? Really? That seems sort of "over-the-top" if you had to ask me. For instance, I have no idea how I'd categorize this.
Okay, maybe "Miscellaneous" or something.
So, I'm hoping to get regular visitors, that way I could get your opinions on things to put in my YouTube. If anyone has ideas, though, please share, but be aware that as many talents as I have, they are limited. I'm not magical, I can't do heavy weightlifting, and when money is tight (we are in a recession, you know), chances of me going skydiving and bringing a camera along are slim.
I guess I should put some news of actual value on here before I go.
How about what I got for Christmas? You all can post, too.
I got a megaminx, Assassin's Creed II, Left 4 Dead 2, a Rubik's Magic puzzle, a USB-MIDI cable (I can hook my keyboard up to the computer now), and I think that's it. I mean, sure, I got some candy in my stocking, some cashews, and probably another thing or two, but I don't really think consumables go on the list of what I got for Christmas. It's not lasting enough.
I also had a good New Year's Eve thing and a good New Year's itself. How was yours? Comment below.
